Humorous Poems: Meetings | Fish and Chips | Life in the Slow Lane
Poem By Mick Leigh
As I view the world from between my knees,
nibbling on a piece of cheese,
I'm very grateful I haven't got fleas.
So sometimes I stand on just one hand,
pretending I am a flamingo,
but I can't fly,
tho' sometimes I try.
I'm really only a dingo.
"A dingo?" you say. Just for a day,
tomorrow I will be something else.
A tree or a bee,
But definitly not me,
Cos three tablets a day are needed.
"Three tablets a day!" You can hear them say.
"He's past his sell-by date!"
"The poor old sod, he's waiting for god.
but I think he's got a long wait".
